About the Author
T. Allen Sharp (there are some who call him … Tim). is a Kansas-born writer with a passion for science and the stars. You may find him gazing through his telescope at the sky above or trekking the trails of his native state, seeking answers that lie beyond the next curve.
He received his journalism degree from the University of Kansas and spent his 35-year career as an editor at several media organizations, including The New York Times, the Des Moines Register, the Tampa Bay Times, the Hazelden Foundation, and Space.com. Now retired, he enjoys writing short stories and novels. He currently works part-time at Round Table Bookstore in Topeka, Kansas.

He enjoys researching his ancestry and has traced his roots to Scotland, England, France, and Germany. He and his husband live in Topeka with their miniature Schnauzer puppy, Doozie, who keeps them on their toes.
His first novel, The Summer of Falling Stars, comes out soon. It’s the story of a boy who wishes upon a star for something extraordinary to happen as he prepares to embark on his junior high years. Over the summer, he discovers secrets about his hometown, his mother, his best friend, and himself.
